A Big Problem, Begging For A Solution

Approximately 100,000 Alaskans lack health coverage. Most of the uninsured work, and many who need coverage cannot afford the full premium price. Everyone is affected when people cannot pay their medical expenses, and the size of the problem is large - more than $100 million of unpaid bills were left in Alaska during 2007.
